Teddy Bear Fimo design

So this is my new teddy bear. He is made out of Alpaca fur, which is INCREDIBLY soft. That surprised me; I did not think they would be, but as soon as I picked up the bear I had to have it. Thankfully, by boyfriend bought it for me. :D

To celebrate my new bear, I decided to do teddy bear fimo nails. With accent nails of teddy faces. :)

Subtle yellow stamp, with not-so-subtle accents.

This is done with Sally Hansen HD Lite, stamped with Sally Insta Dri Lightening and Konad special black.
Here are the unsubtle accents.

And the much more subtle yellow stamp

Kittles! Taste the Mew, Mew

This mani is inspired by a super cute shirt I got while we were on vacation in myrtle beach. I think the rest is self explanatory. XD

This super cute shirt!

The mani inspired by it!

This was a lot of fun to do. I recommend trying to do some designs inspired by your clothes if you are ever feeling uninspired. :)

NFU Oh! Bubbles

This is NFU Oh 61 stamped with China Glaze DV8.

It looks like little bubbles, but they are very subtle, maybe next time I will try a darker holo.

Zoya Marina with Jewels

Zoya Marina swatch, not quite what I thought it was going to look like when I ordered it.

The little jewels are stamped with Sally Hansen Silver Sweep.

Crackle in Warm tones.

My original design was going to be a warm sunset with trees, but I majorly messed up the gradient, because I used polishes that had a very sticky consistency that did not work well. But as everyone should know by now, crackle solves all problems!

The base colors are Nerds Lemonade and Watermelon, which are downright horrible to use, but smell GREAT. XD Then used China Glaze Black Mesh.

Crystal-like stamping

This is Zoya Ibiza stamped with China Glaze DV8

I had to stamp this with a holo. It reminded me of crystals, which immediately led me to holo. :D

Red and Black Messy tips

This is Romanticism Ruby with Pure Ice Electric messy tips.

While other may think this looks bad, I actually really like it. XD Depending on how you think of it it could look like skyscrapers in a red sky, or blood dripping down. :)

Pot o' Gold

Sinful Colors San Francisco

I loved the large glitters that MoondancerJen has had stashed for awhile, so I decided to use them as something like tips.

They look like little gold medallions to me (hence the post name) :D

Black and Green Flames

This was a design I did on the 9th for my boyfriend. It was our 7yr Anniversary and I wanted to do something he would like, and his favorite colors are green and black. (He's a huge Green Lantern fan, too. Comics, not the movie)

I did a base of 2 coats of Sally Hansen's White On, to make sure the neon Green would have a good base.
Then I did 2 coats of Nina Ultra Pro Lime Light and while they were still wet I did dots of Orly liquid vinyl that I dragged upwards to make little flames.

He LOVED it, and repeatedly told me so. :)

Cracked Wet Cement

The title pretty much covers it, does it not?

This is Sally Hansen's Wet Cement as a base, and a did a  black crackle over it diagonally with China Glaze's Black Mesh.

Wet Cement is yet another color I am not a huge fan of, but I really like the way black crackle looks with it. Plus everyone needs a grey in their collection for those days when you NEED it to do a design.

Nautical Inspired

This is Revlon Steel her heard sponged to Zoya Ibiza tips, then glittered with Sinful Colors Pearl Harbor. The accent nails are just Zoya Ibiza with Pearl Harbor on top.

I love Ibiza, it is my favorite polish by Zoya, and probably my favorite ever. I think it looks great with this glitter, which I did not really like when I first got it.

Pink Wednesday Attempting to go Hollywood

This is OPI's Hollywood Blond

I got this color for free with some purchases off of ebay. I am glad it was free too. If I had to pay for it I would have been a very unhappy customer. :) I am not a huge fan of nude tones, even ones saturated with glitter. I think they look great on other people, but not on myself.

I decided that this needed some cutsy nail art over top of it. and I even kind of like it now. But still not enough that I would have ever paid for it.

NFU - Oh 61

When this came back in stock I knew I had to get it. I do not have any other linear silver holos, and they are way too expensive off ebay for me. Well it finally came in, and I have swatches! :D

This is it inside, not too brilliant... ok downright plain.

One it gets outside however, it comes to life!

The different angles bring out more of the holo-ey goodness. :D

Super close up!

As many other bloggers before me have said, this applies horribly and the formula sucks. I found it to be much easier to do without a base coat at all, but as long as you are very careful you can get full coverage in 2-3 coats... i just did 4 and wasn't as careful.

A disliked color

I find myself mostly drawn to glitters, even though I really hate removing them and get disappointed more often than I fall in love with them.  This is one of those colors that disappointed me.  It is call Finger Paints Easel-y Entertained, it is a blue/purple glitter.

I layer it over Zoya Lolly to give it something that it may have been lacking before, but still do not like it. I was so uninspired I didn't even do any art with it. XD

Any ideas on what to do with this that would look pretty or may bring it into a better light?

Blue Wave tips

This is done with Sally Hansen Marine Scene as the base, it took 3 coats. I stamped the tips using Zoya Ibiza, then added sparkles with Sinful Colors Pearl Harbor.

Topcoat streakiness comparisons

My Beauty Secrets topcoat. $5.99 for 2.5FL oz.
Seche Vite $4.99 for .5 FL oz. (on sale)

The nail on the left I top-coated using the Beauty Secrets, the nail on the right was top-coated with Seche Vite.

You can easily see that the Seche Vite did a much better job at not streaking my zebra than the Beauty Secrets. I'd still buy it even though it is much more expensive than the beauty secrets, but I will only use the Seche when I need to worry about streaking. The Beauty Secrets also takes longer to dry...

The slightly confused Zebra

This is done with Sally Hansen White On and Orly Liquid Vinyl.
Stamped with Konad special white and black.

I love this design, the black with white stamp makes the typical zebra a little more interesting I think.

Shells with Tiffany Imposter

Swatch of Finger Paints Tiffany Imposter

Stamped with Sally Hansen's Presto Pink, and a Presto Pink accent nail.

Purple Milani HD stamping

I decided to repeat my own design a little. I loved the Blue milani HD design I did so I recreated it in purple!

The holo is Milani HD in purple (same as before this belongs to MoondancerJen so I do not know the real name) I stamped using Zoya Mira, which is also what is on the accent nail. I topped the accent nail with my spectraflair topcoat, even if the effect is not as noticeable in these shots.

Pretty Pink Flowers

This is Sally Hansen Grey by Grey with Sally Hansen Presto Pink stamped on top.

Just something simple and cute for the transition between summer and fall.

Claire's holo and stamping with it.

This is A claire's topcoat glitter, but I just love the way it looks on it's own. This is 3 coats of it. And yes it was a nightmare to remove.

A blurred shot to show the scattered holo effect.

I really LOVED this stamp I did with it. I did a coat of Seche Vite before stamping over the glitter, because it was no wear near smooth.

once again blurred to show the holo effect.

This was really pretty and I kept staring at it! Even though the bottle says topcoat, I may never use it that way just because this really is beautiful on it's own.
