Pink Wednesday Trees

This is A color Club Pink, so I do not know the actual name of it. XD I strpied and dotted it with Orly Liquid Vinyl and Pure Ice Celestial, respectively.

As for how this turned out, I'm not too happy with it, the striper I used was too thick I suppose, or the polish simply was too thick, it is a bit old.

Neon Green with Butterflies

I know, I know, more butterflies... XD It is summer though! They will be put away for fall and I need to get them out of my system. :p

This is Pro Lime Light, it is a very pretty neon Green (that I once painted my boyfriend's toes in while he was sleeping).

I stamped it with Sally Hansen Lightening, which almost made the butterflies look as though they were casting a shadow.

On review of the Pro polish, I will not buy this brand again. Their polishes are too thin and need a lot of coats. I used 4 coats for this level of opacity, which is not even that good since you can see the tips of my nails.

Piano Keys

This is done with the base colors being Orly Liquid Vinyl (black) and Sally Hansen White On (white)
Stamped with Konad Special Polish is white and black.

I used to play piano when I was younger, but quit, just like I quit pretty much every other hobby that my mom made me try. XD Even though I don't play anymore though. I just think these look awesome!

Butterfly Silhouettes

This is Sally Hansen's Sun Kissed Stamped with Konad Special Black.

I really just wanted to try out a ton of butterfly stamps, and orange is hardly used, so that got put in as well. I actually like how it turned out.

Purple glitter and Matte tips

The base color is Claire's Mystical, I did the tips with Zoya Savita. Then I just added the little white line with a striper brush and Sally Hansen's White On.

Green and Gold Zebra?

This is Zoya Veruschka stamped with Sally Hansen's Guilty Pleasure.

This is not the normal animal you see every day!

OPI DS Reserve Pink Wednesday Leopards

Swatch of OPI DS Reserve

Love this color. It was a gift from MoondancerJen.

This was the original design idea, but it didn't have the impact I wanted.

So on the other hand I decided to add some leopard lace.

Zoya Mikka and a dark stamp

Zoya Mikka

Looks great close-up

Vacation Inspiration

I just got back from visiting family in West Virginia. The drive there is absolutely beautiful, and is what inspired this nail design. It is supposed to look like the blue mountains against the sky.

Base is Treasures of the Sea Crushed Pearl, light blue is Zoya Yummy, and dark blue is Sally Hansen Grey by Grey.

I like the effect I got, not sure it looks like mountains without me planting the idea in your head, but it is still pretty.

Old Bundle Monster plates failure

This is Orly Sweet Tart stamped with Konad Special black.

I did this with the older set of bundle monster plates, before they fixed the all-over stamps. And i have to say I'm pretty displeased in how it looks. XD I know I maybe shoulod have expected it, but I also feel like I should expect something I pay for to turn out the way I want it to. Oh well, on to the next design!

Hand painted Pink flowers

This is done with Sally Hansen's Mint Sorbet as the base.
The flowers are Sally Hansen's White On mixed on the nail with NYC Fuchsia Shock Creme.
Then the little leaves are Wet and Wild's Sagreena the Teenage Witch.

Believe it or not I am way in to painting and art in general. Nai polish is an easy way to get my creativity out without the hassle of bringing out a giant canvas and paint, plus the awful clean-up.

Toxic Tattoos

Another design using Claire's Venomous.

Claire's Venomous stamped with Sally Hansen's Silver sweep.

So from what I have found, any of the polishes from Sally Hansen's Insta Dri collections and frosty polishes stamp very well. So i am on the lookout for those. The Konad special polishes are far too specialized for me as I do not like uni-taskers when it comes to kitchen appliances, people, or nail polish. :)

More holo goodness!

Swatch of OPI Blue Moon Lagoon

Then I stamped it with China Glaze LOL, which stamps wonderfully btw.

The holo rainbow effect just makes me stair at my nails... it is probably better if I stop wearing it to work.

Blue holo sparkliness

Everyone should know by now my obsession with holos. They are just gorgeous. Well my future sister-in-law knows and suggested using her Milani HD polish. This is what I did with it.

indoors

outdoors

Obviously it looks much more amazing outside!

This is Milani HD (don't know specific color other than it is light blue. XD) stamped with Zoya Ibiza.

The accent nails are Zoya Ibiza with the Milani over top of it.

I absolutely LOVe how this turned out and could not stop stairing at it the entire time it was on. <3

Super short guest nails.

So before the pictures, these are my mom's nails. She rarely hold still long enough for me to even do her nails, or for her to do her own nails. So this was a rare occasion, but I was happy to do it. She does a lot of work outside, so she always has short nails, but a lot of people do, so some short nail designs are needed!

This is Sally Hansen HD Lite stamped with konad special white.

I really liked how these turned out, and they looked great with her yellow sundress. She even liked them despite having to hold still long enough for them to dry.

Elegant Crystal

This is Zoya Crystal stamped with Konad Special White.

Something just simple and elegant for work. :)

Venomous Flowers

I did a post awhile ago of the swatch for Claire's Venoumous. Here is a design to go with it. :)

Flowers stamped with Avon Mirror Shine (a very old polish!)

Red Lady's

Swatch of NYC Big Apple Red Creme

Then stamped it with Konad Special Black and a lady bug stamp.

Just very cute and happy I thought. :)

Snakes on Pink Wednesday!

I <3 the snakeskin stamps. I just thought maybe girling it up a little more was in order.

Sally HD Resolution and Cyber over black

I hadn't ever thought of painting another color over black before. Then I saw someone else with these colors on, but they were much more vibrant. When I asked her why, she said that they all looked better over black. So here's what I came up with.

Sally Hansen's Cyber is the purple, and Sally Hansen Resolution is the green.
They Are both over top of Orly Liquid Vinyl.

I added some China Glaze Black Crackle overtop with some Seche Vite topcoat.

Resolution definitively is the better color with the crackle, but they are both amazing over black.

You-know-who!

Voldemort nails!

Swatch of Orly Liquid Vinyl

This is Orly Liquid Vinyl, stamped the snakes with Silver Sweep, and the plain nails are topcoated with spectraflair/seche vite combo.

I like these better than the house designs because I just like black and holo looks great on it. XD

Harry Potter Houses

I know I am a little late, but my boyfriend and I just saw the movie last night in IMAX 3D. It was AWESOME!!! I only cried a little, he cried a bit more. :) I have read all the books and have been disappointed in the past by a couple of the movies, but this one stuck to the book very well and had the amazing graphics they have been known for. Now for the nails!

So from pink to thumb we have Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Slytherin, Gryphindor, then the sorting hat.

The pinky was done with Sally Hansen's Lightening for the yellow, and Orly's Liquid Vinyl for the black. I used tape, but I still appearantly suck at it, so the lines are still a little shakey.

My ring finger was also taped. I used Pure Ice Celestial for the blue and Sally Hansen's Guilty pleasure for the "bronze". I don't actually have a bronze, so it's more like gold.

My middle finger was done with Sally Hansen's Silver Sweep for the silver, and Wet and Wild's Sagreena the Teenage witch for the green. Attempted tape again, lost patience and free handed it.

My pointer was done wtih NYC big apple creme red and Sally Hansen Guilty pleasure for the gold. The only tape design i am happy with.

The sorting hat was done with Pure Ice Celestial for the background, stamped the stars with Konad special white, and then added the sorting hat by stamping with Silver sweep.

Then I topped them all off with my new spectra flair topcoat (specific blog for it coming soon!). But you cannot really see the effect in my shots.

All in all I am happy with this design. But I also did Voldy nails that I liked more, which I will post tomorrow!

Blue floral

Just something simple yet pretty. :)

Zoya Pheobe stamped with Zoya Ibiza.

This is it after a shiney top coat, since Pheobe is normally matte.

Simply Venomous

So I am not normally a swatch blog, but this is a very unique color that I thought should be viewed at least once solo.

Claire's Venomous

It was incredibly hard to get a good shot of, but it is so pretty. In the bottle it looks like a black duo-chrome, but it is more like a sheer green filled with gold sparkles. And the polish name is inspiring. Love this color.

Caution Tape Mani

Design chosen by my boyfriend... in other words I am blaming this on him. I may make another attempt at something similar in the future. XD

This is a Wet & Wild, that has no name because it was a sample bottle, which I then taped off and added Sally Hansen's Wet Cement. I topped it all off with a matte top coat.

I am not pleased at all with this, well maybe the colors I used. I have learned a few lessons about tape manis from this though.

1) Make sure your base color is completely dry, so impatience is not good here.

2) Be sure your tape is very stick to your nail, and that there are no gaps at the edges.

And 3) Do not let the top polish dry at all before pulling up the tape.

This mani is not the best looking because I did none of those things... lesson learned though, don't repeat my mistake. XD (And no it really is not my boyfriends fault I guess... )

Chic Pink Wednesday

This stamp always reminded me of cherry blossoms, so I had been planning of stamping it in pink on a light blue. But once I put this polish on I thought the stamp would be a perfect match.

The base is a very old polish called Mirror Shine, by Avon. I stamped it with Sally Hansen, Complete Salon Manicure Gray by Gray.

Grey by Grey is great for stamping. So I have high hopes for the rest of the Complete Salon Manicure set.

Purple with silver flowers

And more purple!! following in the same theme of comparing matte and shiny again as well.

This is Zoya Sevita, stamped with Silver Sweep by Sally Hansen.

This is with the shiny top coat.

Which once again. I like more, this time though it is because of the subtle shimmer that is harder to see with the matte coat. Luckily Tomorrow is pink Wednesday, so you do not have to worry about more purple for now.

Spacey Purple

Like I promised, this is more purple!

This is Zoya Sevita, stamped with Sally Hansen's Silver Sweep, and the tips are Sally Hansen's HD Spectrum.

This is the same design with the Seche Vite top coat.

Another Mani where the matte is pretty, but I like the shiny more.
